The first year with your baby is known to be the most challenging one. That’s what I’ve been hearing all the time. I think it do gets easier but there’s other challenges that you get to face at each stage of parenthood. There are so many different challenges and problems we have in our every-day life that a little toddler crying can easily throw us off on days where we are not at our best. It is normal, and it is natural to feel all those feelings you might have.
If you have followed my instagram a little bit in the past, you have noticed that I was searching for a job. I am very happy to say, that I have found a real good fit and I am very excited for this new chapter to start next month! For all the mothers out there who are still searching and applying for jobs, I wanted to share my experiences and insights from the past months.
Giving birth to a human being – a truly unforgettable and special experience for a family. About 18 months ago I experienced this wonder. During pregnancy I did read a lot about the current development of my baby and I did a bit of research on certain topics I was interested in, such as breastfeeding, bonding, how to calm a crying baby etc.
Once we came home and our everyday life started as a small family, I ended up reading way more about anything related to my baby. Be it sleeping, eating, pooping, I used the internet trying to get as much information as possible from women who have been in a similar situation as me. In this time I also talked a lot with my fellow mamas about any issues we had. In retrospect I think there were couple of topics I did not think about, so here’s what you might want to prepare for:
Today I’m a mom since 16 months and 5 days. It is the most intense time I’ve lived so far. My days have never been fuller with to-do’s but also never been more filled with tiny moments of joy. Here’s what I learned in the past months about motherhood:
2019 is already a little bit over a week old and amongst my new year’s resolution to be more conscious about my consumption, I want to be more thankful for my life. “Be the energy that you want to attract” is a good mantra for this. In the past I used to see some of my relationships rather negative and I want to stop judging and nagging about people, I believe with practice one can learn that. Additionally I think that positivity can be contagious, so I hope to catch it and to spread it!
