2019 is already a little bit over a week old and amongst my new year’s resolution to be more conscious about my consumption, I want to be more thankful for my life. “Be the energy that you want to attract” is a good mantra for this. In the past I used to see some of my relationships rather negative and I want to stop judging and nagging about people, I believe with practice one can learn that. Additionally I think that positivity can be contagious, so I hope to catch it and to spread it!
10 months ago today, my baby boy was born and it’s time to sum up some new stuff he taught me over the past months:
When it comes to a newborn, you want to provide the best environnment possible. Living in China for over 3 years, we have been sensibilized to the problems of air and water quality. Here is a sum-up of what we learned and our advices.
Today’s inspiration for feminism is a quote from a man.
Dr. Marsden Wagner, born in San Francisco (USA), studied at UCLA perinatology and perinatal science. He worked for six years as Director of the Research Center for Health at the University of Copenhagen, and for another 15 years he headed the Department of Women’s and Child Health of the WHO, where he remained an independent consultant until his death in 2014.
I got to know about Dr. Marsden Wagner through my birth preparation classes. My instructor mentioned the quote which I want to share with you today:
When I got pregnant I tried to restrict myself from buying everything for the little human because I heard from many parents, how babies just grow out so fast and how I would only need a few basics in the beginning.
Well as soon as I got to the baby section I forgot all about it. He already has three pair of shoes, one of which are the tiniest cutest baby sandals that he probably won’t ever wear…
