It’s been a minute since the last time I posted you some information about eco-friendly fashion brands. I thought it’s time to bring it back, because on one hand it is a trending topic among social media channels but it is also of big interest for me. Why? You’ll read about that in another post that I’m currently preparing but I hope you’ll find it as valuable as me to have some key information about different sustainable fashion brands.
I want to re-start this category, with a brand from L.A. called Reformation. Mainly because I love their style and their clothes! Also my birthday is coming up in two months *wink wink*
Name of the brand: Reformation
Founded: Los Angeles in 2009
Philosophy: “We put sustainability at the core of everything we do. We invest in green building infrastructure to minimize our waste, water, and energy footprints. By providing on-the-job training and opportunities for growth, we also invest in the people who make this revolution possible.”
Sustainable certificates:
- OEKO-TEX® standard
- BLUESIGN® system
- Certified dyeing
Some interesting facts about the brand:
- Clothes are made out of leftover materials, vintage clothing and sustainable materials such as Tencel.
- The brand was founded by a woman: Yael Aflalo. She was inspired to reduce waste in clothing production.
- They are launching new products every couple of weeks. They can be seen as a “fair fast fashion” producer.
My 5 (+1) picks:
